Midleton win 13 Gold from 13 Students!

The Midleton Club got the new year off to a flying start when 13 junior students travelled down to the Ballincollig TKDI competition to compete in traditional patterns and sparring.

The day went so well, that the club achieved three new records! The first is that every single student placed in the top 3 for patterns for their divisions. The second is that 11 out of the 13 students came away with two trophies, meaning they placed in the top 3 in both patterns and sparring categories. And the third and final one is that 11 of the 13 students came away with 1st place trophies winning out their divisions completely. Two students even took the double gold winning both sparring and patterns.

Well done to the two ninjas Chloe and Sean who both took 1st place in patterns, to Olivier who came 1st in sparring, to Lauren who came 1st in patterns, to Arek who came 1st in patterns, to Jakob who came 1st in sparring, to David who came 1st in patterns, to Michal who came first in sparring, to Natalia who came first in patterns, to the two Matchejs (big one and small one) who both took away two trophies each and to Alex and Xhan who both took away two 1st place trophies each!

So with 24 trophies out of a possible 26, including 13 gold from 13 students, club instructor Mr. Dwyer just wants to thank everyone for all the hard work they've put in and to all the adult students for the work they do with the juniors, you've all done your club proud!
