Taekwondo International World Championships 2016

The 2016 Taekwondo International Open World Championships was held at the Barclay Card Arena in Birmingham. This competition had nearly 3000 from all around the world including big teams from Argentina, USA and Australia.
Midleton's Lauren Jordan won a Silver medal in the Junior Girls Black Belt sparring division. She fought an English girl first, then had a very exciting fight against an American in the Semi-Final. Her final fight against a Scottish opponent finished a tie, and she eventually lost to a split decision after and extra round of sparring. What a fantastic preformance.
